PILATES is a total body conditioning exercise method with a strong focus on building core strength. Its purpose is to develop body uniformity to improve balance, strength and posture. The benefits to practicing Pilates are many: Often used in physiotherapy and rehab; Physical and mental strength increases; Reduces stress, fatigue, discomfort and pain; Stimulates the circulatory system; Increases mobility; Day- to- day activities are more easily achieved.
During class you will be encouraged to work at a pace and level that best challenges you. No two people are the same. Most exercises can be modified to suit and I will be walking around class keeping a close eye on everyone. Questions are welcome, laughter is never far away, you will be encouraged and supported throughout the class.
