About us

Trust Waikato Whiritoa Lifeguard Service, between Waihi and Whangamata on the Coromandel was formed in 1974. The Clubhouse sits prominently near the middle of the 1.6 km beach.

Members can join in the social events. The Whiritoa Summer programme is largely based around the Club, and offers a wide range of events for the Whiritoa Community.

Our programme

We are a community and family based club. We have very successful Junior programmes covering Sand Crabs, Nippers, Cadets, Trainees and Rookies. Dedicated Coaches are appointed to each of these groups who train together weekdays from Christmas to mid January.
