New to archery: People can try the sport by participating in our Have-A-Go Days. 1 x 2hr session to try archery to see if you like it.
Then, if keen to learn more, try our Beginners Course. This consists of 3 x 2hr sessions which are held on three consecutive Sunday afternoons. Beginner Courses are held at various times during the year, depending on sufficient numbers.
Upon completion of the Beginners Course, you can then sign up to be a member of the club. The Club has bows, arrows and all the accessories you need for members to hire, so you don@t need your own gear to get started.Club Day shoots are held every Sunday morning throughout the year and all members are welcome to shoot. We also hold a mid-week shoot on a Wednesday. During Daylight Savings time, this is held at Graham Park from 5.30pm - 7.30 pm. During the winter months, we open our Indoor Range in Cambridge from 7pm - 9pm. An experienced member is always on hand to help get you set up and shooting.
There are regular competitions and events held throughout the year that members may choose to participate in. Depending on how keen you become, some members shoot in competitions held at other clubs, as well as the competitions we host here in Hamilton.
River Glade Archers have 3 ranges that members can shoot on: the Outdoor Range, the Indoor Range and the Field Range. More information about each range can be found on our website. We cater for Barebow, Recurve and Compound bow archers.
